About Nightingale Nursing and Care Home Nightingale Nursing & Care Home is based in the centre of Edwinstowe, near Mansfield. The home, although purpose-built, has been made very homely, and has a selection of garden areas, in line with Jasmine's values and ethos. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care to 49 residents Role Responsibilities for Kitchen Assistant: Assisting in preparing, cooking and serving meals to our residents Assist in washing and cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces Acting in line with health & safety and food hygiene guidelines Promoting our resident's choice, dignity and independence and all times Role Requirements for Kitchen Assistant: A good reason or experience that has drawn you to working in a care setting Live within 20 minutes of the Home Willing to contractually sign up to an NVQ Level 2 in a relevant qualification Team player Ability to work under pressure Good time management Good written and oral communication skills A willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our residents A positive and enthusiastic outlook One years' experience in a similar role (preferred) One years' experience working in a residential or nursing home.
