Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced manager to provide senior leadership to the three Mental Health Integrated Network Teams (MINTs) in the Borough of Hounslow as Service Manager for a 6 month period.
Local Services have recently moved to a Borough-based structure and as part of the Borough Senior Management team, this role is key in shaping the service development, governance and care delivery within the Hounslow MINT teams as well as contributing to the overarching management of care for Trust services within Hounslow.
The MINT teams were created as part of early implementer work in response to the NHS Long Term plan and support the move away from siloed, hard to reach services to one of place-based care, working together with our GP and PCN colleagues, adult social care and voluntary sector providers to deliver a joined up offer of community care to people with mental health needs.
Main duties of the job
Service managers play critical roles in providing operational management, leadership and accountability to the MINT teams. They support the team managers and other operational and professional leads to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical care, management of clinical governance and fiscal responsibilities, and the future development of teams with emerging national and trust guidance.
Key to the success of the role will be establishing and maintaining relationships internally with other Trust teams in Hounslow as well as externally within the local primary care networks, adult social care, and other teams and services within local communities and VCSE providers. The Service Manager will be expected to make a significant contribution in forming and forging new relationships across the health and social care system.
We are seeking to recruit a high calibre qualified manager with excellent communication skills; a clear commitment to delivering patient-centred quality care in a changing environment and a track record of delivering performance targets. The successful will need to be resilient, provide a positive and motivating role model, and have the skills to deliver priorities in a changing environment.
