Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of new build housing developments.The RoleWe are seeking an ambitious Project Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team delivering new build residential developments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware individual looking to further develop their career within a leading housebuilder while taking ownership of projects from procurement through to final account.The successful candidate will work closely with senior commercial and operational teams, supporting the delivery of projects while ensuring commercial objectives are achieved and profitability is maximised.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the commercial delivery of new build housing developments from procurement through to final accountPrepare subcontractor enquiry packages, analyse tenders, and support procurement activitiesNegotiate and appoint subcontractors in line with project budgets and programme requirementsManage subcontractor accounts including valuations, variations, payments, and final accountsPrepare and maintain accurate cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projectionsMonitor project costs and identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunitiesAssist with the preparation and submission of valuations and commercial reportingWork closely with site and operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are achievedEnsure contractual compliance and effective administration of subcontract agreementsMaintain accurate commercial records and project documentation throughout the project lifecycleSupport senior commercial staff with wider business and project objectivesRequirementsPrevious experience within a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor roleExperience working on new build residential or housing developmentsStrong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processesExperience managing subcontractor procurement and accountsAbility to manage project costs, reporting, and forecastingCommercially aware with strong negotiation and communication skillsAbility to work effectively within a fast-paced project environmentDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferredGood IT skills including Excel and commercial reporting systemsDesirable:Experience working for a housebuilder, residential developer, or main contractorKnowledge of JCT contractsExperience delivering private sale and affordable housing schemesWorking towards or interested in pursuing professional qualificationsWhy Apply?Excellent opportunity to join a leading UK residential developerExposure to high-profile new build housing developmentsStrong pipeline of secured projects and long-term stabilitySupportive and collaborative commercial team environmentClear progression and career development opportunitiesCompetitive salary and benefits packageApplyIf you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today by applying to the role.We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
