Are you an experienced Major Works Supervisor with a strong background in social housing refurbishment and planned maintenance projects?
Our client, a leading social housing contractor, is looking to appoint a Major Works Supervisor to oversee a portfolio of planned works projects across North London and the surrounding Home Counties. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term career prospects with a well-established and growing organisation.
The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of major works programmes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Projects may include:
External and internal refurbishment worksRoofing replacements and repairsWindow and door installationsKitchen and bathroom programmesDecarbonisation and energy efficiency upgradesCyclical decoration and planned maintenance worksKey Responsibilities
Managing and supervising subcontractors and direct labour on siteConducting site inspections and quality control checksMonitoring programme delivery and productivityEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulationsLiaising with residents, client representatives, and stakeholdersProducing site reports and progress updatesResolving on-site issues efficiently and professionallySupporting successful project delivery from start to completionRequirements
Previous experience supervising major works or planned maintenance projects within social housingStrong understanding of refurbishment and construction processesExcellent communication and resident liaison skillsAbility to manage multiple sites across a geographical patchGood knowledge of health and safety legislationFull UK Driving LicenceSSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid qualifications desirableWhat's on Offer
