Dental Nurse responsibilities
* Reception, including answering the phone and greeting patients.
* Dealing with patient queries.
* Taking payments.
* Booking appointments and follow‑ups.
* Sterilising and preparing equipment for dentists.
* Recording and managing patient records.
* Supporting patients' well‑being and dental experience.
* Cleaning dental areas, including chairs.
* Managing stock of equipment and supplies.
* Performing any other duties to support the dentists and senior team in providing effective patient care.
Apprenticeship details
* This qualification is a Level 3 advanced apprenticeship accredited by City & Guilds and is delivered nationwide through blended interactive e‑learning.
* Upon completion, you will be awarded a Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3, approved by the General Dental Council as meeting the entry requirements for the professional register.
* Functional skills in English and maths level 2 qualifications are required unless already exempt.
