Overview
emptying bins, dusting and sanitising surfaces safely and professionally to a high standard. This role involves operating a variety of cleaning equipment; full training is provided with a first day induction. The position is physically challenging and includes manual handling activities. Flexibility is key as you may also perform Cleaning Operative duties alongside Cleaning Co-ordinator responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Cleaners operative duties (emptying bins, dusting, sanitising surfaces to high standard)
* Operate a variety of cleaning equipment with training provided
* Co-ordinator duties on a single site: oversee a team of cleaning operatives, support the Soft Service Manager, allocate daily tasks, manage material use and stock control, conduct quality checks ensuring health and safety policies are followed, and monitor attendance, schedule and overtime
* Involve HR activities such as return to work interviews and assist the SSM with recruitment and training of cleaning operatives
* Resolve operational problems and maintain a positive workplace culture
About You
You should have a combination of cleaning and administrative experience. The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-motivated with a keen eye for detail. You should be able to work on your own initiative and organise your time, as you may be managed remotely. You should also have competence in the below.
* Previous experience and knowledge of the cleaning industry
* Effective communication skills
* Effective IT skills (e.g., Excel, Word)
* Ability to train cleaning operatives on relevant tasks
* Ability to prioritise and organise work
* Ability to liaise with customers
