Job Opportunity: Community Services Manager (Domestic Abuse Support)
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
We are currently working with a reputable charitable organization dedicated to ensuring the safety of victims of domestic abuse.
Role Overview
As a Community Services Manager, you will develop, manage, and lead a team focused on prioritizing the safety of domestic abuse victims. You will oversee staff and clients, ensuring effective service delivery across various programs including IDVA, Outreach, and Helpline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage daily operations, staff, and service quality.
2. Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and facilitate referrals to internal and external agencies, including MARAC.
3. Manage staff rotas, budgets, and training programs.
4. Assist clients with benefit claims and utilize computer systems and CMS.
5. Deliver talks and presentations to local authorities, organizations, and the public.
Candidate Requirements
* Strong experience working with victims of domestic violence and abuse.
* Experience in non-profit organizations with knowledge of the benefits system.
* Ability to produce routine reports for managers, funders, and stakeholders.
* Experience in social care/welfare settings with adherence to safeguarding guidelines for children and vulnerable adults.
* In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation such as Children's Act, Safeguarding laws, Domestic Violence Act, and related legislation.
