Job Description
* We are seeking a proactive and analytical professional to lead the performance and efficiency of our security operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth passenger flow, optimising staffing, and maintaining compliance with security standards. You will design and manage data-driven systems, analyse operational metrics, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. With responsibilities spanning workforce planning, performance audits, and stakeholder engagement, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and delivering a safe, efficient, and customer-focused airport experience.
* They must be capable of analysing information quickly and make security critical decisions based on their analysis using foresight and strategic thinking whilst working under pressure, they must be self-motivated, target driven, and possess a positive ‘can do’ outlook.
Principle accountabilities
Security Operations Performance
* Drive screening point efficiency to minimise wait times and maximise throughput.
* Analyse throughput, wait times, and staffing utilisation to identify inefficiencies.
* Conduct audits on performance effectiveness and adherence to security operating concept models.
* Data Collection & Analysis
* Collect, collate, verify and analyse security operational and strategic data.
* Research, prepare, and present insights and recommendations.
* Use structured analysis to identify risks and diagnose root causes.
Management Information & Reporting
* Design, develop and administer management information systems and reports.
* Provide resource allocation, cost control, and performance analysis insights.
* Produce reports and dashboards for employees, leadership and partners.
* Support leadership in interpreting data and engaging with performance metrics.
* Recommend and support implementing corrective actions based on data-driven findings.
Workforce Planning & Rostering
* Develop shift rosters aligned to flight schedules, volumes and security regulations.
* Forecast staffing needs for peak and irregular operations.
* Monitor staffing levels and propose efficiency models for reallocations during disruptions.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Liaise with our security resource provider on resourcing levels and operational performance.
* Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders to enable decision-making.
Qualifications and experience
* Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, statistics, mathematics or data science is required.
* Skills:
* Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL databases, Excel spreadsheets and specialsed analytics platforms like Fabric & Power BI
* Research Skills: Ability to undertake research and collect data to identify future trends based on past performance.
* Highly developed analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify performance gaps, assess root causes, and recommend effective corrective actions.
