About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Residential Conveyancing team in Tunbridge Wells. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for property law who is looking to build a long-term career as a paralegal.
You will be an integral part of our team, providing key support on a wide variety of residential property transactions. For the right candidate, there is a clear pathway to taking on and managing your own caseload over time, with supervision and support from experienced colleagues.
Key responsibilities
* Assisting fee earners with residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
* Handling a wide range of tasks, including drafting legal documents, preparing contracts, and liaising with clients and third parties.
* Managing searches, Land Registry applications, and Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns.
* Maintaining clear and effective communication with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other legal professionals.
* Utilising a case management system to ensure accurate file administration and tracking.
About you
* A minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience in residential conveyancing, demonstrating a solid understanding of the conveyancing process.
* Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* A confident and proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
* IT proficiency, particularly with case management software and Microsoft Office.
* A genuine desire for a career as a paralegal and a commitment to professional development.
* A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute positively to our supportive working environment.
You’ll spend at least 60% of your working week in the office, though we know there is no one‑size‑fits‑all and arrangements may vary from role to role.
