Year 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover)Newton Aycliffe | September Start
We’re a warm, community-rooted primary school in Newton Aycliffe looking for a Year 2 teacher to join us from September on a maternity cover basis. This is a class that thrives on curiosity, routine, and the occasional moment of chaos (the good kind).
We’re particularly interested in someone who:
* Sees phonics and storytelling as equally powerful tools
* Understands that progress isn’t always linear—but it is always possible
* Can balance high expectations with genuine warmth
* Has a knack for making number sense “click” for those who find it tricky
* Doesn’t mind being asked why at least 47 times a day
