Science Department Insight The department includes specialist Biology, Chemistry and Physics teams, with multiple well-equipped laboratories. Practical work is central to the curriculum, and technicians play a crucial role in ensuring smooth, safe delivery of lessons. The Role Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical lessons Ensuring safe storage/handling/disposal of chemicals (COSHH & CLEAPSS) Maintaining labs, including equipment checks, tidiness and stock rotation Supporting teachers during practical lessons Assisting with displays, events and STEM enrichment Ideal Candidate Organised, safety-conscious and practically minded, with a genuine interest in supporting science learning.
