Field Service Engineer
What does it entail?
As a Pump Service Engineer you will work on a range of pumps and associated equipment. You will perform general electrical and mechanical engineering duties to ensure that our pump systems operate as specified. You will also carry out maintenance, repairs, commissioning and installations of our pump stations and associated equipment on a nationwide basis.
* Work on client sites performing general electrical and mechanical engineering duties to keep pump systems operating as specified.
* Carry out maintenance, repairs, commissioning and installations of pump stations and associated equipment.
* Participate in our Emergency Call‑Out rota.
* Work with grey‑water and effluent systems and operate within confined spaces.
* Communicate effectively with the service team, providing reports and photos of pumps and equipment using a PDA and mobile phone.
* Provide a positive and helpful disposition and professionally communicate with customers.
* Work independently or as part of a team.
What experience do we look for?
* Proven experience with grey‑water and effluent systems / submersible pumping stations.
* Mechanical and electrical skills.
* 18th Edition qualification.
* Ideally 3–5 years’ experience in pump maintenance or a similar role.
* Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills for centrifugal pumps and submersible sewage pumps.
* Experience lifting, replacing and installing pumps and associated pipework.
* Full clean UK driving licence.
* Good mechanical and electrical skills.
* Ability to work remotely.
* Flexibility to work on our Emergency Call‑Out rota.
* Mature communication skills.
