Head of Sales & Service
For our UK site in Coventry, we are looking for an experienced leader to drive sales growth and service excellence as
Your responsibilities:
Develop and implement sales strategies, tactics, and operational sales plans
Prepare and present sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports to management
Ensure effective and efficient use of the company CRM systems
Identify, develop, and report on new business opportunities in target markets
Represent the company at conferences, trade fairs, and networking events
Lead, coach, and manage the sales team to achieve company objectives
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders
Ensure the delivery of class‑leading customer support across the UK & Ireland
Support the conversion of legacy laser platforms to the latest IPG Photonics solutions
Collaborate closely with management teams in the UK and worldwide
Your profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Physics, or a related technical discipline
5–7 years of experience in B2B component sales
Proven experience in managing and leading a sales team
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes across multiple industries
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Confident presenter capable of representing a large multinational organisation
Self‑starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally
Flexible approach to working hours and travel requirements
Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally (e.g. Germany, USA)
