Section Manager – Construction / Facades

Salary: Up to £50,000 (depending on experience)

The Role
You will be working for a nationwide construction contractor delivering specialist packages across live construction projects. They are now looking to appoint a Section Manager in Swansea, with a clear preference for someone on an upward career path rather than a fully established senior who may be seeking a higher salary.
This role would suit a junior Section Manager, or an experienced Assistant Site Manager, who is ready to take ownership of sections of work and progress their career within a growing business. While experience in facades, cladding or external envelopes would be highly beneficial, we are open to candidates from a broader construction background who are keen to learn and develop.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing allocated sections of work on site
• Coordinating subcontractors and day‑to‑day site activities
• Supporting programme delivery, quality and productivity
• Ensuring health & safety standards are met on site
• Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team
• Monitoring progress and reporting on your section of works
• Assisting with inspections, snagging and handovers
About You
You will come from a construction background and be comfortable working in a site‑based environment. We are particularly interested in candidates who are ambitious, reliable and keen to progress, rather than those looking for a senior‑level package.
Essential
• Construction site experience (any sector considered)
• Experience as a Section Manager, or a Supervisor / Assistant Site Manager ready to step up
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• CSCS card
• Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable
• Facades, cladding or external works experience
• Experience managing subcontract packages
• Exposure to fast‑paced or live construction sites
