About the Position:
The Harry James Group is partnering with a globally recognized EPC that is expanding due to new projects. They are seeking Commissioning Engineers for the Energy Storage & Optimization business. The role will report to the Project Delivery Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Commissioning of stationary battery energy storage systems and related equipment.
2. Collaborate with teams to prepare and coordinate technical project materials.
3. Define and execute testing protocols in collaboration with stakeholders to achieve commercial operation.
4. Communicate commissioning plans and performance test procedures with clients.
5. Organize start-up and equipment tests within the contract scope.
6. Ensure compliance with EHS policies and minimize risks during commissioning.
7. Maintain good reporting practices and documentation of test results.
8. Ensure safe and reliable function of plants and equipment.
9. Drive continuous improvement in technical problem-solving knowledge.
Minimum Skills Requirements:
* Education: Minimum Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering.
* 2-4 years of experience with renewable energy (Solar Utility Scale) and/or Energy Storage Systems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for complex engineering issues.
* Experience in CAD drawing and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
* Self-directed, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate should be familiar with lithium-ion batteries, relevant codes and standards for ESS and inverters, and have experience with utility scale energy storage and renewable energy projects.
Applicants should have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings for industrial automation.
