Woodlands Nursery and Woodlands Extra—our Ofsted Outstanding nursery and well-established Before & After School Club—are seeking a highly organised, proactive and detail-focused Administration and Finance Manager to join our dedicated team.
This rewarding and varied position is 25 hours per week whole year, based primarily on-site at Woodlands Extra, Wildwood, Stafford during term-time (9am-2:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break) During school holiday closures there is the option to work either remotely or on-site.
In this key role, you will support both the Nursery and the Out-of-School Club by managing a range of essential administrative and financial tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing invoicing and fee systems, coordinating payroll information, supporting compliance and safeguarding processes and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our office and administrative functions.
You will be supported by a knowledgeable and approachable board of trustees and work alongside an established, highly skilled staff team who are committed to delivering exceptional care, early years education and play opportunities. We are seeking an individual who can offer the following:
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong administrative background with excellent organisational and digital skills.
* Experience in financial reporting, invoicing, reconciliations and monitoring debt.
* HR administration experience including staff records, training compliance and rota/absence tracking.
* Confident managing GDPR requirements and sensitive data securely.
* Ability to improve processes, streamline workflows and maintain high levels of accuracy.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to produce clear reports for Trustees.
* Ability to work proactively, prioritise well and meet deadlines in a busy setting.
Desirable
* Experience in Early Years, education or another regulated sector.
* Knowledge of Ofsted, EYFS compliance and safer recruitment standards.
* Experience using nursery or childcare management systems (e.g., INM).
