A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established finance team based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain broad accounts experience within a supportive and progressive environment. Reporting into the finance team, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations while developing your technical skills and knowledge. Key Responsibilities Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner Assisting with purchase ledger and sales ledger duties Preparing supplier payment runs and posting payments Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining cash records Supporting month-end close processes including journals and reconciliations Assisting with budgeting and forecasting information Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with procedures Resolving supplier and internal finance queries efficiently Assisting with management reports and ad hoc finance tasks Supporting continuous improvement within finance processes Promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture Previous Experience Educated to degree level, or vocational equivalent Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role desirable Strong numerical skills and attention to detail Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career get in touch with Ollie Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.
