Our client, a leading main contractor with a strong presence across Scotland, is seeking a Freelance Site Supervisor / Assistant Site Manager to support upcoming works in Livingston. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join a busy team and contribute to the successful delivery of a live project.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site activities, coordinating trades, and ensuring health & safety compliance. You’ll be a key point of contact on site, ensuring the project progresses smoothly, on schedule, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and site staff.
*
Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at all times.
*
Monitor quality of works and progress against programme.
*
Assist with site reporting and documentation.
*
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and the wider team.
About You
*
Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Assistant Site Manager with a main contractor.
*
Joinery background
*
Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management.
*
SSSTS / SMSTS and First Aid qualifications preferred.
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*
Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day site operations.
This is an ongoing contract role, immediate start, with an hourly rate of £23 to £25ph, based on experience and location.
