OCU Group are looking to recruit an IT Technical Project Manager (FTC) to join our expanding and fast paced IT Team. Based out of our Glasgow Office, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager who is passionate about IT, systems & integration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide technical leadership for OCU network and infrastructure, cloud, platform, automation, connectivity, and compute environments.
* Define and execute infrastructure and cloud strategies aligned with business tactical and strategic needs.
* Act as a key advisor to the Group IT Director, shaping technology direction and innovation.
* Drive operational excellence, service resilience, and performance at scale.
* Technical ownership and oversight of our cloud-centric infrastructure operations and architecture.
* Implement and optimise cloud-based solutions to ensure scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
* Ensure seamless migration and integration of remaining on-prem infrastructure to cloud.
* Align technology infrastructure and cloud operations with security, compliance, and business continuity requirements.
Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations, leading technology teams, and managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Proven expertise in public and hybrid cloud architectures, with hands-on experience in AWS and Azure environments.
* Strong background in traditional IT infrastructure, architecture, and operations management, including networking, security, and system administration.
* Deep technical understanding of legacy IT systems alongside modern cloud-native technologies, with experience in mentoring and leading technical teams.
* Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, managing multiple priorities with strong technical, analytical, and project management skills.
* Experience supporting globally distributed teams in remote and hybrid work environments.
* Industry-recognized certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent multi-cloud accreditation.
