Job Summary
Moog is looking for a Software Engineer to join the team at our site in Wolverhampton. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of application-specific software solutions used in the integration of complex Test Equipment Systems.
Our Test Systems support the Qualification and Production Acceptance testing of a wide range of Moog Aircraft Flight Control Systems and Components
You will also provide a Technical Review in the provision of Test Equipment Software Solutions within Moog Aircraft Group.
The software solutions will include the development of code to perform closed-loop control, data acquisition, data analysis, and hardware control across a variety of hardware platforms.
This role also supports the Test Equipment Manager and Senior Software Engineer with the maintenance, upgrade, and administration of software solutions on existing Test Equipment deployed across Moog Aircraft Group Facilities and within Customer Facilities.
Key Skills
·Possession of a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline is essential (., Software, Electronics, Mechatronics).
·The ideal candidate will have experience in developing software solutions for multi-axis, closed-loop, servo-hydraulic, and electromechanical Test Systems (including the development of application-specific software directly related to data acquisition, analysis techniques, and reporting of data captured from real-time applications/testing machinery).
·Minimum of 4 years experience creating software solutions using one or more of the following software languages, Visual Basic, C, C++, C#, and Python on standard PCs or embedded systems.
·Experience/ knowledge of digital and analog electronics would be advantageous.
·Experience in one or more of the following: LabVIEW, JIRA, MATLAB, and SubVersion is advantageous but not essential.
·Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and VISO.
·Knowledge of PC operating platforms (DOS/ Windows/ Microsoft Environments)
·Must be able to obtain UK Security Clearance
