Job Description
3. Processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate data entry.
4. Managing payment runs and reconciling supplier statements.
5. Resolving invoice queries efficiently and effectively.
6. Maintaining accurate records and filing systems for the accounting & finance department.
7. Supporting the month-end process by preparing required reports and reconciliations.
8. Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns and other financial documentation.
9. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payments.
10. Providing general administrative support to the finance team as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
11. Experience in accounts payable.
12. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
13. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
14. The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
15. An understanding of financial processes within the transport & distribution industry is desirable.
16. A proactive approach to resolving issues and improving processes.
What's on Offer
A salary of up to £28,000, benefits and hybrid working. This is a fixed term contract.
