Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Postal Delivery Driver/Walker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to safety regulations.
Duties
* Deliver mail and packages to designated addresses in a timely manner.
* Operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws.
* Sort and organise mail prior to delivery, ensuring accurate distribution.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any issues that may arise.
* Maintain records of deliveries and returns, reporting any discrepancies as necessary.
* Assist in the loading and unloading of mail from vehicles, which may involve heavy lifting.
* Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely dispatch of mail.
