We are recruiting experienced Site Engineers to join our clients new £65 million energy project in Newport, South Wales. This role is ideal for a hands-on site role with someone with a strong background in utilities and civil engineering projects, including trenching, deep excavations, and reinforced concrete works.
Are you an accomplished Site Engineer with a proven track record of leading projects through the entire lifecycle? Planning the coordination of works alongside the Construction Project Manager, maintaining a 6 week lookahead
Implementation of CDM checklist requirements
Carrying out inductions and HSEQ inspections
Adapting pre-established generic ITPs, to site specific permanent works and collating evidence for closure
Keeping a site diary of compensation events and reporting any deviation from the cost forecast or well as scope of works
Setting out with surveying equipment
My client requires a Civil Site Engineer who can both develop and manage our civils Reinforced Concrete (RC) capability, with management of this including setting out, dimensional control, quality assurance and the managing teams of operatives, materials and plant procurement. Ideally experience of working with a DNO and an understanding of substation projects and NEC3 contracts.
Experience of working in a similar role along with a SSSTS/SMSTS.
Experience as a Site Engineer dealing with trenching / deep excavations; RC works, duct installation, cable pulling, power.
RC structure and groundworks experience is required, Piling and HDD is optional, AutoCAD, RAMS production.
