Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP)
Brentwood Hospital – Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
Responsibilities
* Prioritise patient safety, taking appropriate actions and encouraging colleagues to call out and report safety concerns.
* Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff in full compliance with all policies and procedures.
* Support governance activity, ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Health’s Quality governance framework and national standards (e.g. CQC/HIW/HIS Regulation, fundamentals of care, professional standards and evidence‑based guidelines).
* Provide and lead care management and delivery, treating patients, families, friends and representatives with kindness, dignity, respect and compassion and supporting them to cope emotionally with their care, treatment or condition.
* Collaborate with other clinicians within the Hospital, building strong working relationships that enhance patient care and service delivery.
* Take charge of a theatre, coordinating and delivering work activities and leading junior practitioners.
Qualifications
Registered with the appropriate governing body and holding relevant qualifications and experience, including HCPC registration. Experience in perioperative care and post‑registration experience required. Demonstrated passion for high standards, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work flexibly as a motivated team worker.
