Building Maintenance Estimator / Project Manager Location : London & Home Counties Key Details: Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 Holiday: 21 days inclusive of bank holidays Location : Roughly 3 days in the Office ( south London ) and 2 days on site We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Building maintenance Estimator / Project Manager to join our company based in the South East. We currently employ over 150 engineers in the South East alone across the Mechanical & Electrical sector including commerical gas and air conditioning. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, and repair work on a wide range of commercial gas systems across various commercial premises which mainly include Leisure Centres & Retailers About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Estimator / Project Manager to join our team, overseeing the estimating and delivery of maintenance and small works projects across a variety of commercial and public sector buildings such as Leisure Centres & Retails. We currently employ over 150 engineers across the South East alone, working in the building services industry. This is a dual role ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical detail of estimating and the practical side of managing works on-site. You’ll split your time between the office (3 days/week) and site (2 days/week), carrying out surveys, preparing quotations, and overseeing project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Conduct on-site surveys and assessments for planned maintenance and small works projects ( plumbing, general maintenance, brickwork, carpentry etc ) Prepare accurate and competitive estimates, quotations, and tender submissions Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details Plan and manage the delivery of maintenance works through to completion Monitor budgets, schedules, and health & safety compliance on all assigned projects Provide technical support and advice to clients and site teams Ensure quality standards and client satisfaction are maintained throughout Requirements: Proven experience in building maintenance, estimating, and project management Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and maintenance practices Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills Full UK driving licence IT literate – comfortable using MS Office and estimating/project software
