The Role We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Management Accountant to join our fantastic finance team in Cobham. This role requires a candidate who is well-versed in preparation of property accounts and able to manage multiple sites and deadlines in a group situation. The Person The applicant should ideally have: Solid experience within the property industry. Good Excel skills. Understanding of CIS and VAT in the residential sector. Be a team player with a collaborative, ‘can do’ attitude, willingness to adapt and desire to learn new tasks. Experience of working with junior team members and outsourced providers to achieve the teams goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge of Xero, Arthur and Approval Max desirable but not essential. Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) A key collaborator with all stakeholders. Values aligned with our philosophy as outlined on our website. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities will include: Produce month-end and year-end journals. Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements. Monthly variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, consolidations, exception reporting. Annual audit & tax return support. Preparation, submission and payment of quarterly VAT returns & CIS Returns. Analysis of aged debtors and creditors. Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed. Contribute to annual budgeting and financial planning. Preparation of bank covenant reporting. Help oversee the outsourced accounts payable function. Act as a Business partner for key finance and non-finance stakeholders. Why Work for us Hybrid flexible working.
