We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover the North of the UK for an international manufacturer of high-quality industrial enclosures for a variety of sectors such as automation technology, explosive environments, instrumentation and control technology, and food & beverage. Your role and responsibilities:
* Creating new sales opportunities by engaging with prospective clients via email, phone calls, Teams meetings, and face-to-face meetings
* Developing accounts and following up with leads
* Communicating with customers to fully understand their needs and requirements
* Answering customer enquiries and questions and providing additional information
* Keeping up to date with product information through regular product training
* Regular communication and visits with the HQ in Germany
* Updating and maintaining the sales CRM system (MS Dynamics)
* Preparing quotations (the Inside Sales team will create the quote)
* Responding to RFQs
* In the field around 3 days per week
* Supporting exhibitions
* Area of responsibility: North UK (including Scotland)
Your profile:
* Technical background and understanding
* Motivation for sales
* Degree in Engineering or Business would be an advantage
* Ability to read technical drawings would be an asset
* Sharp communication skills and professionalism
* Relationship building skills - strong customer focus
* Background in ATEX would be advantageous
* Located in the North, UK
