Bilingual Tutor (Russian & English) Wanted – 1:1 Support for Young Person in Maidstone
Are you a patient and empathetic tutor looking to make a real difference in a young person's life?
We're seeking a dedicated tutor to work on a 1:1 basis with a young person in Maidstone who is currently out of mainstream education. The student requires personalised support due to an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
About the Role:
You'll be helping the learner re-engage with education through a flexible, nurturing approach. This will include:
* Delivering tailored lessons (English, Maths and core subjects)
* Supporting language development (Russian & English preferred)
* Working in the student's home or community setting
* Providing encouragement, structure and emotional support
* Liaising with parents/carers and professionals
What We're Looking For:
* A tutor with experience supporting children with EHCPs, SEND or behavioural needs
* Bilingual (Russian & English) – highly desirable
* Strong background in teaching or tutoring (QTS, HLTA or equivalent)
* Patient, resilient and creative in adapting lessons to suit individual needs
* Ability to work independently and flexibly
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Tutor Location & Hours:
* Based in Maidstone
* Flexible hours (term-time, with some holiday sessions available)
* Competitive hourly rates (dependent on experience and qualifications)
