We are looking for a Category Manager who can get properly stuck into the world of cake decorations, mixes and kits and help move a much-loved category forward with confidence and a bit of flair. We’re looking for someone who is ready to step up. You might be in a category exec role today, but you will need to show you can own customer conversations, build trust quickly and guide decisions with confidence. You’ll split your time between being the go to category voice for major retailers and being the insight engine that fuels brand teams internally: Think 50% building strong relationships with buyers across Morrisons, Tesco, ASDA and JS and turning insight into clear calls to action they can get behind. Then 50% driving actions and opportunities across marketing and commercial teams by feeding in shopper understanding, spotting what is next and shaping the development of campaigns and NPD. There is already a strong footing with some retailers and a few areas that need a bit of love and challenge. Nothing dramatic, just the kind of classic category puzzles that make the job interesting. You should be comfortable with their data stack too, including Excel, PowerPoint, and systems like Circana, Nielsen, Kantar and retailer data platforms.
