Legal Assistant - Dispute Resolution Department
Are you looking to start or develop your legal career in a supportive and dynamic environment? We’re seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Legal Assistant to join our growing Dispute Resolution team. You’ll play a key role in supporting Partners and Solicitors on a variety of litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
These will include but are not limited to:
* Dealing with all new business enquiries.
* Assisting with the management of a busy caseload, including pre‑ and post‑completion tasks such as issuing documents, accounting for monies, and file closing.
* Conducting searches at the Land Registry.
* Managing client matters and maintaining diary entries for specific tasks.
* Liaising with the Court on listing of claims and following up the issue of applications.
* Liaising with clients and third parties to keep them updated on progress.
* Maintaining and updating case management systems to ensure accurate records.
* Providing general administrative support, including filing, photocopying, and drafting correspondence.
* Opening files and handling client care matters, including Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
About You
* Previous experience would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
* An enthusiastic telephone manner.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Ability to manage a busy diary and work methodically.
* A positive, “can‑do” attitude and a willingness to learn.
* Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in liaising with clients.
