About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Author to join a fast-growing, Legal 500 Tier 1 ranked litigation boutique specialising in collective redress cases. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, creating essential documentation that supports high-stakes litigation.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation Creation: Develop high-quality policies, procedures, and operational guides through collaboration with subject matter experts
Compliance Writing: Produce regulatory and compliance documentation that meets strict industry standards
Training Materials: Create comprehensive onboarding materials and training resources
Plain English Translation: Convert complex legal and technical language into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with compliance, legal, risk, operations, and training teams
Standards Implementation: Maintain documentation standards, templates, and version control processes
Audit Support: Ensure timely and accurate documentation updates for internal audits and regulatory reviews
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Technical Author or Documentation Specialist
Strong background in regulated sectors (legal, financial services, insurance preferred)
Demonstrated experience writing compliance documentation, policies, and procedures
Excellent writing and editing skills with ability to simplify complex information
Understanding of documentation best practices, version control, and governance
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or similar platforms
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
