Your new role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join a dynamic Risk & Assurance team within a leading UK-based organisation. This high-profile role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully toernance, risk, controls, policy,pliance, and data protection across a diverse and fast-paced business environment.Reporting to the Head of Risk, you’ll play a key role in delivering assurance across departments including Finance, HR, IT, Operations, Property, and Estates. You’ll also have line management responsibility for an industrial placement student, helping to shape the next generation of professionals.Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver independent third-line assurance onernance, Risk Management, and Control (GRC) frameworks
2. Lead and support internal audits across various business units and locations
3. Maintain and enhance internal assurance processes and audit quality systems
4. Conduct annual financial controls testing
5. Act as a subject-matter expert on UK audit reforms and their business implications
6. Prepare reports for senior stakeholders, including executive leadership and auditmittees
7. Collaborate with H&S, Fire Safety, Data Protection, and InfoSec teams to embed control systems aligned with ISO and other standards.
8. Support the development of a policy framework andpliance regime, embedding the three lines of defence model
9. Partner with L&D andmunications teams to deliver training and awareness initiatives
10. Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional growth
11. Coordinate outsourced assurance activities and participate in operationalpliance audits
12. Investigate policy breaches and maintain accurate records
13. Represent the team in cross-functional working groups
What you'll need to succeed
14. Qualified CIA, ACA, or ACCA professional
15. 1–3 years post-qualification experience in a top or mid-tier practice or equivalent industry role
16. Ambitious and results-driven with a desire to grow within a thriving organisation.
17. Confidentmunicator with the ability to influence at executive level
18. Familiarity with data analytics tools
19. Available to start at relatively short notice!
