Pearse Partners has been mandated by an established European-focused investment firm to hire a Special Situations Associate into their London office.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth financial and operational analysis of stressed, distressed, and event-driven opportunities across Europe.
Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and recovery scenarios.
Perform due diligence on potential investments, including market research, legal documentation review, and operational assessments.
Prepare investment committee materials and contribute to deal structuring and execution.
Monitor portfolio positions, assist in asset management initiatives, and liaise with advisers and counterparties.
Requirements:
~2–5 years of relevant experience in distressed debt, special situations, credit investing and restructuring advisory.
~ Strong technical and analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial statements and credit documentation.
~ Ability to manage multiple workstreams and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
~ European language skills (especially Spanish, Italian, German, or French) are desirable, though not essential.
