At National Car Parks we are looking for Customer Service Assistants / Valets for our car park at Gatwick Airport. You will be part of a friendly team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Purpose of Role Driving and parking customers vehicles in a safe, careful and responsible manner. To be competent in the operation of the Valet Parking systems and processes to facilitate a swift and efficient service. To ensure the efficient operation of the car parking facilities and provides a level of service which gives complete customer satisfaction. To ensure all incidents are reported and investigated, capturing all available information to allow us to identify root cause. To interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, positively representing both NCP and the Gatwick Airport client. To present yourself in the required standard of dress and PPE and be in your deployed location ready to commence duties at your required start time. To be competent in the operation of all Parking Equipment, ANPR systems, CCTV, Intercoms and Patrol logging systems. To conduct regular space/car counts to ensure accuracy of electronic signage and act to correct and amend as necessary. To monitor occupancy levels, facilitate zone/area changes and deploy directional signage as required. To monitor and enforce correct usage of specific bays or areas (disabled, express and charging bays etc.). To undertake random mobile or foot patrols of the car parking facilities, reporting any maintenance, H&S or security issues to line management. To conduct regular H&S audits and fire safety checks as detailed in the schedule. To assist with cleaning duties, taking action to ensure that company standards are achieved and maintained. Monitor and direct the flow of traffic, parking vehicles in a way which maximises the use of available spaces. To ensure adequate resources, such as documentation and consumables for the shift ahead and report requirements as necessary to line management. To be proactive in your approach to resolving customer complaints, aiming for service recovery at the point of contact. To complete operational documentation legibly and to the required standard. To facilitate customer assistance for situations such as vehicle Jumpstarts or flat tyres by contacting the on-site AA patrol or providing direct assistance where this service is unavailable. To maintain good communications and consult regularly with line management and colleagues, seeking assistance and contributing to the resolution of outstanding issues. To be fully competent in reporting and escalation processes including the reporting of unattended and suspicious items. To be flexible and undergo training for all future site developments and operational enhancements. To carry out any reasonable duty as requested by line management.
