Design Engineer Day Shift - 7.30am - 4.00pm Monday - Friday £35,000 - £50,000.00 per annum DOE Overtime Training Packages 30 days holiday/xmas shutdown Our salary structure is based on our internal banding structure, and will be negotiated at interview relating to relevant technical ability and industry experience. At A&T Enclosures, based in Dudley, we have an excellent opportunity for Design Engineers to join our expanding team, developing their innovation and design skills. Working to customer specification, we are looking to recruit Mechanical and/or Electrical Design Engineers to develop and design electrical enclosures to be manufactured by our innovative on-site technology. Duties and responsibilities will include: Liaise with customers and (A&T Sales) to ensure full clarity on the engineering and specification aspects of their requirements Generate, quality check and release all specification and design information, production methods, punch press programs, processes and finishes to support procurement, product production, finishing, handling and shipping of the required quality right first time" Generate and define production processes, facilitating continuous improvement Assist production team leaders to generate/update processes, training and advice on quality self-checking during manufacture (e.g. check sheets) Work with production team leaders to identify design and specification issues Make recommendations on the control of product costs make or buy decisions, value engineering, manufacturing processes and safety Ensure that relevant design standards are maintained and that work represents progressional good practice Review the parameters and standards built into the automated design and manufacturing systems to ensure they are relevant, accurate and reflect latest innovation Apply value engineering thinking to reduce costs and optimise output Provide quality inspection support to the Production Manager (e.g. on purchased or subcontracted materials) The successful candidate should possess: Previous experience of RADAN/ATLAS Proficient use of CAD/Solidworks Openness to developing new skills and technologies Previous experience working within flat sheet metal Click on the APPLY button to start your application ADZN1_UKTJ
