Machine Operator
Location: Wigton (rural)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Experience Dependent
Hours: 6am-2pm Monday-Thursday & 6am-1pm Friday
NXT Recruitment is proud to be working with a local manufacturer looking to recruit a machine operator to join their skilled production team. This is a hands-on role working with specialist machinery to produce high-quality materials.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Set up, operate, and monitor the machine
2. Ensure all materials meet company quality and production standards
3. Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery
4. Monitor thread and fabric usage, loading materials as needed
5. Work collaboratively with the wider production team
6. Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Skills & Experience:
7. Previous experience operating machinery is highly desirable
8. Good attention to detail and quality awareness
9. Mechanically minded with the ability to spot and fix minor issues
10. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
11. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
