THE ROLE We are looking for a washroom attendant to join our growing team. As a member of our back-of-house team, you will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning the facilities, and maintaining a high standard of hygiene at all times, always in strict adherence to health and safety standards. We are looking for individuals who can support our teams effectively and efficiently, whilst consistently maintaining a high-quality standard. You will be a team player that communicates well with colleagues and embodies a can-do mindset. Punctuality, reliability and flexibility are a must. Your main responsibilities will include: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail by ensuring that the toilet (both male and female) areas /facilities remain clean and well-presented throughout your shift. Clean and sanitise guest facilities regularly throughout the day. Ensuring to keep sinks, shelves, taps and mirrors clean to the best possible standard and mop/hoover floors where appropriate. Monitor and restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper/linen towels. Ensure that all bathrooms ie sink, taps and toilet fixtures and equipment are in working order. Provide assistance and customer service to facility users, such as directing them to available facilities, addressing any concerns they may have and being personable. Maintain a tidy and organised area, including refuse/rubbish removal (e.g. empty bins) and floor cleaning. Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety regulations. Report any maintenance or cleaning issues to the appropriate supervisor/manager. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour when interacting with members/guests. Health and Safety & Compliance To maintain the areas for which you are responsible to the highest standards of cleanliness and to ensure that they are in an orderly manner. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Comply with all company and unit policies with regards to Health & Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling, Fire and COSHH. Please ensure that you report any faults or infringements of these procedures or act immediately where appropriate to correct them. Ensure full adherence to the Premises licence operating requirements which always require compliance. The skills and experience which will help you succeed in this role Previous experience in a similar role ideally within hospitality or service-based industry Must possess a positive can-do attitude and be a team-player that communicates well with colleagues You will be punctual, reliable and trustworthy and have a sense of urgency ie able to work in a fast paced environment Comfortable to walk & stand during the majority of shifts, as well as frequent manual handling tasks. Strong customer care ethic and ability to build relationships at all levels Attention to detail and is passionate about maintaining high standards.
