2 x Permanent 6 hour post 11:45am - 2:45pm Saturday and Sunday. 1 x Fixed Term ending 31st March 2026 - 16 hour post across 5 days of 7, 4:45pm - 8:00pm.

You will deal with food service in wards, dining rooms and satellite venues while upholding departmental standards and food hygiene regulations and the Trust’s values.

Duties and responsibilities
* To assist with all duties connected with the Retail Outlet that serves staff and Visitors.
* Barista Training would be an advantage in this role alongside Customer Services experience, but not essential as full training would be given.
* Adhere to departmental standards and food hygiene regulations; uphold the Trust’s values and work as part of a team to ensure efficiency and excellent customer care.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure accurate information about catering tasks and service needs.
* Interact with customers in person and by telephone to understand needs and provide information about the catering service.
* Undertake all duties relating to food service, including preparing service areas and equipment, serving food and drinks in staff and patient dining outlets, and at hospitality events.
* Deliver and collect meal trolleys to/from wards and departments; clear and tidy after catering operations.
* Carry out cleaning tasks manually or with equipment (e.g., washing crockery, cutlery and utensils).
* Operate cash registers in retail areas, maintaining diligence at all times.
Requirements
* Catering experience is desirable; Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety is not essential as full training will be provided.
* Ability to work a schedule including weekends; willingness to work as part of a team in a hospital setting.
