Quantity Surveyor
Location: North East England
Salary: £40-55k (depending on experience)

Position Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the costs and budgets of our residential new build projects. You will work closely with our project teams to ensure financial efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Management:
Conduct thorough cost analysis and prepare detailed estimates for residential new build projects.Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and identify potential cost savings.
2. Contract Management:
Administer and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.Negotiate favorable terms and conditions to maximise value for the company.
3. Risk Management:
Identify and assess potential risks related to project costs.Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project profitability.
4. Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making.
5. Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on project costs, forecasting, and financial performance.Present findings to senior management and project teams.
Qualifications:
6. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
7. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential new build projects.
8. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control.
9. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
10. Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
11. Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g., Excel, cost estimating software).
