Job Summary
School Nurse – September 2026 Start (Maternity Cover)
Full time, term-time + 2 weeks permanent contract (36 weeks per year)
The School Nurse is expected to play an active part in school life, and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the medical room. This means ensuring that both staff and students are provided with efficient, compassionate and professional medical care and first aid as required. Latymer has a well‑equipped medical room and a separate triage room; the successful candidate will be joining our small dedicated team, independently providing professional nursing care to all students and staff on a maternity cover basis. You will join one existing School Nurse and two part‑time Health Care Assistants who provide five day a week coverage between them. The student welfare team also includes three part‑time Counsellors, a team of two in the Attendance Office, a Pupil Welfare Officer and a Safeguarding Officer.
