Who You Are You are a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) with a Social Work Degree or equivalent, registered with HCPC. You have experience applying relevant legislative frameworks, such as the Mental Health Act 1983, Care Act 2014, and Mental Capacity Act 2005. You demonstrate expertise in managing complex cases and working with vulnerable individuals and families, and you are willing to participate in an out-of-hours standby rota. What the Job Involves You will undertake Mental Health Act Assessments on behalf of Hillingdon Council as an AMHP. Your role will involve coordinating the identification of complex care needs and developing support plans that maximize choice, control, and independence for individuals. You will provide expert advice and support to social work colleagues, manage relationships with key partners, work in multidisciplinary environments, and engage in activities that improve service delivery. You are expected to work independently and contribute to service planning, financial management, and continuous service improvement, ensuring the delivery of a resident-focused, efficient, and non-discriminatory service.
