Job Description
We’re recruiting a Payroll Systems Tester for a 9-month fixed-term contract to join an established HR Systems team, supporting payroll system changes, enhancements, and key annual activities. This is a hands-on role focused on accuracy, control and compliance within a complex payroll environment.
What you’ll be doing
* Developing and executing payroll test scripts and scenarios
* Testing payroll system changes, patches and enhancements end-to-end
* Supporting Tax Year End and other critical payroll testing cycles
* Documenting outcomes and maintaining clear audit evidence
* Working closely with Payroll, HR and IT teams
* Acting as a point of contact for payroll system and Oracle HR/Payroll queries
What we’re looking for
* Experience testing payroll systems in complex environments
* Strong understanding of payroll processes and controls
* High attention to detail with a structured, analytical approach
* Comfortable working in test environments and managing defects
* Collaborative and confident working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
This role offers a salary of up to £35,000 (pro rata), hybrid working with one day per week in the Rushden office, and a clearly defined contract role with real operational impact.
