PayPal is seeking exceptional professionals to develop actionable insights for guiding senior stakeholders, from the C-suite to operational leaders, across geographies, businesses, and functions to bring clarity to their most pressing decisions.We enable decision-making with a deep understanding of customers, market needs, business drivers and emerging opportunities from an outside-in perspective.To succeed in this role, you’ll need expertise in strategy development, problem solving, storytelling, researchand executive-level influencing/communication.
1. Market/competitive insights: Advise our C-suite through “research” type engagements to develop and articulate a point of view on market signals and potential ecosystem game-changers
2. Strategy development/execution: Lead/support the development of PayPal’s strategy on high-visibility initiatives, and long-term strategic priorities in key ecosystem areas
3. Conduct and/or lead qualitative (e.g., primary research, synthesis of secondary data sources) and quantitative (e.g., Excel modelling) analysis to support decision making
Education, Skills and Experience
4. Minimum 2-3 years post-MBA, or 5-8 years of highly relevant experience without an MBA
5. World class strategic and analytical thinking, with a demonstrated ability to synthesize multiple sources of information (quantitative and qualitative) to solve complex problems in a structured, data-driven way
6. Superior communication (verbal, written, PowerPoint) and analysis skills (Excel)
7. Leadership experience in complex global organizations and cross functional teams, and a track record of delivering tangible results, both directly and by the influence
8. Appetite to learn and comfortable with ambiguity
9. Top strategy consulting (e.g. BCG, McKinsey, or Bain) or top corporate strategy experience is a must
10. Industry expertise in payments and/or technology is preferred
