Autism Specialist Teaching Assistants
Prospero Teaching are looking for an Autism specialist Teaching Assistants for a school based in Basingstoke. The suitable candidate will need to be confident and resilient and will be working with students that require extra support.
The school have a strong team of committed staff who are experienced and passionate about supporting students with on the Spectrum. The faculty are welcoming and supportive and the facilities are fantastic. If you are up for a challenge and really want to help make a positive difference to the lives of pupils with special educational needs then this school could be the place for you.
This would be an excellent post for conscientious, enthusiastic, highly-motivated individuals, who are looking for a long term role, where they could potentially progress in to a permanent contract.

Experience, training and qualification :
10. Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
11. Ability to think quickly & without supervision
12. Confident when working with small groups or 1-1.
13. Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.
14. Driven to motivate the pupil and increase participation.
15. Be caring, patient and have good communication skills.
16. Be self-reflective, have a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative.
17. Willing to complete Safeguarding online training.
18. Complete a face-to-face registration, currently being done remotely on Zoom.
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must :
19. Hold right to work in the UK
20. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
21. Provide two professional child related references
