Maintenance Shift Electrician
Location: Wigton (rural)
Hours: Rotating shifts (early/late shift pattern)
Salary: Dependent on experience
We are supporting a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Maintenance Shift Electrician. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to play a key role in maintaining and improving production equipment, ensuring efficiency, safety, and minimal downtime.
You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, support installation projects, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities:
1. Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment
2. Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and effectively
3. Undertake installation work and modifications to existing systems
4. Perform portable appliance testing (PAT) in line with regulations
5. Assist with PLC and control systems
6. Keep accurate maintenance records and reports
7. Work collaboratively as part of the maintenance team to ensure smooth production operations
8. Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Skills:
9. Qualified to O.N.C Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in Electrical Engineering
10. Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
11. Knowledge of PLC and control systems
12. Strong skills in fault finding, installation work, and preventative maintenance
13. Experience of PAT testing
14. A proactive team player with strong communication skills
15. Flexible, safety-concious, and able to work under pressure
16. Full UK driving licence preferred
