Responsibilities
* Innovation & Capability Development
o Drive development of advanced CFD methods, automation, HPC/cloud workflows, and digital engineering tools.
o Contribute to Jacobs’ CFD technology strategy (software, hardware, cloud infrastructure, training).
o Lead R&D initiatives, pilot new approaches, and develop reusable tools, libraries, and templates.
o Build collaborations with universities and research partners to advance CFD capability.
* Technical Leadership
o Lead complex CFD modelling projects.
o Develop robust CFD modelling strategies, numerical setups, and QA processes.
o Conduct and oversee technical checks, peer reviews for modelling outputs and reports.
o Translate engineering challenges into high‑fidelity CFD solutions and workflows.
* Project Delivery
o Prepare scopes, methodologies, estimates, bids, and client deliverables.
o Manage delivery of CFD projects, ensuring technical excellence, robust change management, and commercial success.
o Act as the key technical advisor and subject‑matter expert to the client and project delivery teams.
* Team Support and Development
o Foster a collaborative culture, mentor, support and develop colleagues and peers, aiding personal and career development while expanding our capability and portfolio of solutions.
o Provide direction on project workflows, modelling approaches, and best practice.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience applying CFD to a wide scope of water or fluids solutions.
* Proficient with modelling platforms (OpenFOAM or equivalent).
* Sound programming and automation capability (Python, C++, Matlab or similar).
* Demonstrable track record in technical project management.
* Proven client engagement experience, including proposal development and stakeholder communication.
* Degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related fluid‑mechanics discipline.
