Litigation Paralegal - Employment Law, Manchester
Portfolio is proud to exclusively represent our award-winning, multinational HR & Employment Law services client in their search for a Litigation Executive, specialising in Employment Law. In this role, you will handle case preparation before Employment tribunals, working on behalf of business owners to assess tribunal matters, create court bundles, witness statements, etc. You must have an LLb degree, Employment Law knowledge, and Litigation experience. In return, you will gain extensive knowledge of Employment Law across industries and excellent progression opportunities. The role also supports SQL qualification as it counts towards legal work experience.
Job Purpose
Assist clients with Employment Tribunal matters, including advising on case merits, drafting responses, exchanging witness statements, and conducting preliminary hearings.

We seek a confident, legally qualified individual, preferably with employment law experience, to work in a dynamic team covering all aspects of case preparation. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload in a fast-paced, supportive environment, providing excellent client service with a commercial approach and possessing strong communication skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Assess Tribunal and early conciliation matters
* Draft pleadings, witness statements, and applications
* Manage document disclosure and bundle creation
* Communicate with Tribunals, Claimants’ representatives, clients, and ACAS
* Advise on case prospects and seek favourable settlements
* Conduct preliminary hearings by telephone
What You Bring to the Team
* Law degree (or GDL) plus litigation experience and/or LPC/BPTC qualification
* Commitment to supporting clients through challenging times
* Positive attitude towards workload and teamwork
* Passion for employment law and attention to detail
