Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Site Agent to join their team on a contract basis, focusing primarily on planned highway and infrastructure projects. This role is pivotal within the dedicated Construction Team, tasked with ensuring project efficiency, safety, and compliance with high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and supervise schemes to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance.
2. Organise labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources.
3. Liaise with stakeholders, including network managers, local authorities, and designers.
4. Ensure construction plans, method statements, and safety systems are in place.
5. Maintain accurate records, including site diaries and resource allocations.
6. Support the Scheme Delivery Manager in developing construction programmes.
7. Coordinate traffic management and value engineering reviews.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. IOSH/SMSTS & CSCS certification required.
2. HNC/Degree in a relevant field (preferred but not essential).
3. Full UK driving licence required.
4. Strong communication, leadership, and cost-control skills.
5. Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
