Overview
As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll ensure the level of clinical care goes beyond professional standards and regulatory requirements. This includes providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to deliver empathetic, resident-focused care.
Job responsibilities
As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll: provide specialist nursing support and advice; cover the Home Manager’s duties when needed; supervise and coach staff to maintain high-quality care; and ensure records are accurate and meaningful. You will communicate with residents and colleagues with consideration and kindness.
About you
HC-One is seeking a Deputy Home Manager with a valid NMC PIN, knowledge of National Standards and the NMC Code of Practice, and a background in person-centred care planning within a care home. You should bring positive energy, be able to mentor, manage time effectively, and maintain meaningful records. You should communicate in a considerate and kind manner with residents and co-workers.
You will value kindness and understand that our residents are people with stories to tell. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; all colleagues attend safeguarding training and may undertake additional training. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
