TransMaster Trailers growth and progressive design enhancements has created an opportunity within the Engineering team.
Responsibilities
* Under the guidance of senior engineers, utilize finite element analysis (FEA) and other engineering calculations in the design process.
* Assist the project engineers and managers with their trailer projects. As expertise evolves, you may be assigned the lead on projects.
* You will perform basic design-work, and progress to more advanced designs as your expertise warrants.
General Engineering Duties
* The utilization of SolidWorks for 3D design work of steel trailer structures.
* Generate 2D assembly, fabrication, laser (and corresponding .dxf files), brake, saw, machining, and other manufacturing prints from 3D designs.
* Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuit designs and drawings may be assigned.
* Collaborate on the development of the purchased part lists for trailer designs.
* Calculate required steel and material lists.
* Prepare assembly checklists.
* Participate with the creation of engineering instructions for trailer repairs, as required.
* Utilize your engineering experience to assist in sales estimating/quoting efforts as needed.
* Participate in engineering design reviews.
* Serve as a liaison with manufacturing, to streamline the feedback on drawings and designs. Make recommendations or corrections as necessary.
* Communicate and collaborate on issues and ideas within the engineering department and with management regularly.
Onboarding and Additional Details
New team member training will include training within the Production departments, learning our various build processes, for a period of up to six (6) months.
